Buyer Map: Dental Practices in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania

Prepared for Gagandeep Sandha | Piccadilly Dental Alliance | October 2026

As of Oct 5, 2026. Offices: 2023 federal count. Dentists: May 2024 survey

Your site describes Piccadilly Dental Alliance as a dentist-led DSO with practice locations across the NYC, NJ and PA metro area, and it offers dental offices billing, insurance verification and dental phones. This page counts the dental office locations in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania by size, and the general dentists working there. It counts offices, not owners or buyers. Every number comes from public federal files.

The groups your site addresses

Your site speaks to four groups. Three can be sized from public files; the fourth is named and not numbered.

The office figure counts every dental office location, the same offices in both rows. It is not a count of owners, and it says nothing about who is weighing a transition or buying support. The roles column is our reading of who to look for, not a count.

Each figure is rounded from its exact value, so rows and columns may not add exactly.

What the counts show

About 77% of offices have fewer than 10 staff.

13,000 of the 17,000 dental offices in the three states have fewer than 10 paid staff at the location. Another 3,300 have 10 to 19.

New York holds about 47% of the offices.

8,000 dental offices in New York state, against 4,600 in Pennsylvania and 4,500 in New Jersey. Your story page names the NYC/NJ/PA metro area.

Your site does not limit the support services to the three states.

Your Affiliate With Us page offers dental billing, insurance verification and dental phones to dental offices, and your PESCOE page describes 24/7 support from India. The US has 136,000 dental office locations, 99,000 of them (about 73%) with fewer than 10 staff.

Denominators, definitions and sources

  1. Offices are establishments in the federal annual count of business establishments by industry, 2023, all legal forms, industry code 621210, offices of dentists. An establishment is one physical location with paid employees at some point in the year, so a group practice with three locations counts three times. Staff is paid employees at the location in the mid-March 2023 pay period. Offices already part of a DSO are inside these counts; the file does not separate independent practices.
  2. The code covers general and specialist dental offices alike (orthodontists, oral surgeons and others). The state rows use the state file; the US figures use the national file.
  3. New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania are counted whole. That is wider than the NYC, NJ and PA metro your site names. Your leadership page lists a chief dental officer for the Midwest; the site does not name the states, so they are not counted here.
  4. General dentists are jobs on a payroll in the federal occupational employment survey, May 2024, state file, occupation 29-1021, all industries. The survey leaves out the self-employed (owners and partners of unincorporated practices), so this count is a floor. The New Jersey estimate is the least precise of the three.
  5. Groups and pages are as listed on piccadillyalliance.com on Oct 5, 2026. Figures over 100 are rounded on purpose.

The named version of this page, the actual offices inside a row, is built one row at a time. Reply on the thread, or write to my colleague Matthew, who is your point of contact from here: matthew@enquirerai.com.
